Okay people, as much as I love eating healthy, I love eating sweets. That’s where puppy chow comes in – with double the chocolate and powdered sugar. I like to get the chocolate so thick that you wouldn’t even know there’s a piece of cereal under there! This recipe has been adapted from the Chex Muddy Buddies mix.
Here is my recipe for Puppy Chow:
One box of Rice Chex™
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
2 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar
Directions:
- Ready in 10 minutes
- Dump the Chex cereal into a large bowl. Then set aside.
- In a medium microwavable bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Heat for 1.5 minutes, making sure to stir about every 30 seconds. Then stir in the vanilla.
- Pour half of the mixture over the cereal, stirring to make sure it has an even coating. Then add half of the powdered sugar.
- Once evenly coated with the powdered sugar, take the rest of the chocolate mixture and dump onto the cereal. Mix and then coat with the rest of the powdered sugar.
- Place in the freezer for a half an hour so it gets nice and chunky.
- Take out, and eat!!
Enjoy!
