Double Trouble Puppy Chow

Okay people, as much as I love eating healthy, I love eating sweets. That’s where puppy chow comes in – with double the chocolate and powdered sugar. I like to get the chocolate so thick that you wouldn’t even know there’s a piece of cereal under there! This recipe has been adapted from the Chex Muddy Buddies mix.

Here is my recipe for Puppy Chow:

One box of Rice Chex™

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup butter

2 teaspoon vanilla

3 cups powdered sugar

Directions:

  • Ready in 10 minutes
  1. Dump the Chex cereal into a large bowl. Then set aside.
  2. In a medium microwavable bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Heat for 1.5 minutes, making sure to stir about every 30 seconds. Then stir in the vanilla.
  3. Pour half of the mixture over the cereal, stirring to make sure it has an even coating. Then add half of the powdered sugar.
  4. Once evenly coated with the powdered sugar, take the rest of the chocolate mixture and dump onto the cereal. Mix and then coat with the rest of the powdered sugar.
  5. Place in the freezer for a half an hour so it gets nice and chunky.
  6. Take out, and eat!!

Enjoy!
